  • About the Role:

    Al Kuthban Kuwait General Trading & Contracting Co. is looking for a skilled Cost Estimation Engineer to join our Tendering & Cost Control team. If you’re passionate about precision, analysis, and contributing to winning bids in the construction industry, this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze project drawings and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.

  • Perform quantity take-offs and identify material, labor, and equipment requirements.

  • Coordinate with procurement teams for updated pricing and vendor quotes.

  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and cost alignment.

  • Prepare both technical and commercial proposals for tenders (MPW, MEW, KOC, KNPC, etc.).

  • Maintain cost databases and support pre/post-bid clarification and negotiations.

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required.

  • Collaborate with project, finance, and planning teams to align cost estimates with budgetary goals.

Requirements:

✅ Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

✅ Experience:

  • 3–5 years in Tendering & Cost Control within construction/contracting.

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Kuwait.

✅ Technical Skills:

  • Quantity take-off, cost analysis, budgeting, BOQs, SOWs, IFC drawings.

  • Familiarity with local/international tendering procedures.

  • Strong market knowledge of labor, material, and equipment costs in Kuwait.

✅ Software Proficiency:

  • AutoCAD, MS Project

  • Advanced Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros)

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Collaboration tools (Microsoft Teams, SharePoint)

✅ Languages:

  • Fluent in Arabic and English
