As a QA/QC Engineer at Al Kuthban Kuwait General Trading & Contracting Co., you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across all stages of our construction and contracting projects. Reporting to the General Manager, you will develop and implement project-specific quality assurance and quality control plans, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. This role requires a proactive professional who can coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and suppliers to uphold our commitment to excellence.
Develop and implement QA/QC plans, inspection and test plans (ITPs), and quality procedures tailored to each project.
Conduct site inspections and oversee third-party inspections to verify materials and workmanship meet project specifications and international standards (ASTM, ISO, BS, etc.).
Coordinate with procurement and construction teams to ensure quality compliance during all project phases.
Monitor and document test results, manage QA/QC logs, and prepare reports on non-conformances, root cause analyses, and corrective actions.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure quality of procured materials and subcontracted works.
Maintain up-to-date QA/QC documentation, including checklists, certificates, test results, and approvals.
Support internal and external audits and ensure readiness for ISO 9001-based Quality Management System (QMS) audits.
Assist in training site personnel on QA/QC practices and promote a culture of quality and safety on-site.
Education & Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Familiarity with Kuwait Municipality and MEW/MPW regulations and approval processes.
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD (basic to intermediate), QA/QC software, and document management systems.
Understanding of ISO 9001 and digital QMS tools/platforms.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a QA/QC Engineer in construction or general contracting, preferably in Kuwait or GCC region.
Proven expertise in multi-disciplinary projects (Civil, MEP, Infrastructure).
IT & Communication Skills:
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, PDF tools.
Experience with SharePoint, OneDrive, or Google Drive for file management.
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, or Google Meet for virtual collaboration.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
